Wazdan’s growing presence in regulated U.S. markets, following its earlier success in New Jersey.
The launch brings a collection of popular Wazdan titles, such as 9 Coins™, Grand Gold Edition, Magic Spins™, and Hot Slot™: 777 Crown, to Michigan players. These titles, which have been well-received in other markets, are expected to attract a strong following in the Wolverine State. In addition to the games themselves, Wazdan’s innovative mechanics, including Cash Infinity™, Hold the Jackpot, and Sticky to Infinity™, will now be available in Michigan, providing players with enhanced gaming experiences. These features are designed not only to increase player engagement but also to drive revenue for operators, making Wazdan a sought-after partner for casinos.
Andrzej Hyla, Chief Commercial Officer of Wazdan, emphasized the importance of this launch, saying, “Wazdan’s entry into Michigan is a true testament to the strength of our dynamic portfolio, which has continued to build momentum in the North American market. Going live with a renowned operator such as Caesars enables us to continue this trajectory and capture this truly exciting market.”
The partnership with Caesars is not Wazdan’s first entry into the U.S. market. Prior to launching in Michigan, Wazdan entered New Jersey, where its games are available through Caesars’ platforms. The company has built relationships with other significant iGaming operators, including Hard Rock, PlayStar, and BetMGM, further boosting its credibility and market reach. This latest move into Michigan demonstrates Wazdan’s commitment to expanding across North America.
Ricardo Cornejo Rivas, Vice President of Online Gaming at Caesars Digital, noted the value of adding Wazdan’s unique game offerings to Caesars’ platform, stating, “We are always looking for suppliers who will enrich our existing game catalog with fresh experiences that we know our players will respond well to. Wazdan is a prime example of this with a unique portfolio of titles that we are confident our players will enjoy interacting with.”
generated $191.4 million in gross receipts, a notable increase compared to $153.5 million during the same period in 2023. Operators in the state also saw a rise in tax contributions, paying $35.9 million in July 2024, up from $28.7 million the previous year.
BetMGM led Michigan’s online casino sector, posting $50.7 million in gross receipts for July 2024, an increase from $49 million the year before. With such impressive market growth, Wazdan’s entry into Michigan is well-timed, allowing the company to capitalize on the upward trajectory of iGaming in the state.
This launch not only strengthens Wazdan’s presence in Michigan but also sets the stage for future expansion across other U.S. states. West Virginia is among the markets that Wazdan plans to enter, as the developer continues to explore new opportunities in regulated regions across North America.
