Tennessee Lottery Extends Partnership With IGT

International Game Technology and Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation have expanded their level of cooperation for the next seven years, as an attempt to attract more players to the retail network…

The contract is valid through June 30, 2025 and IGT will provide the Lottery with twenty GameTouch terminals and Keno-to-Go offerings. The supplier’s top-notch self-service vending machines will be distributed to all retail locations within Tennessee. Additional Keno monitors and video controller units will be positioned at lottery retail shops.

Additional Services Included

The agreement with IGT also includes integration of secondary technologies that will supply the Lottery with central systems, data center ops, network and field services. As part of the package, the company will also deliver for retail sales, call center and marketing campaigns.

Rebecca Hargrove, Tennessee Lottery president and chief executive, comments:

“By installing the GameTouch 20 terminals into some of our biggest retailers in the state, IGT is helping us expand our sales footprint and attract new players with its latest innovations.”

In Partnership Since 2004

IGT has been the driving power of Lotteries across the United States, and partnering with TELC dates back to 2004. The organization has generated and returned over $4.7 billion to educational programs and other institutions.

Further consolidation within the U.S. iGaming market has also been strengthened with other operators, including William Hill and famous sportsbooks. The brand signed an agreement with DraftKings in Mississippi last November, but collaborating with other states is also on call – Rhode Island launched sports betting products from IGT in May 2018 too.

However, at the beginning of December 2018, the company’s chairman of global solutions, Donald R. Sweitzer, decided to step down after twenty years. Current CEO, Marco Sala, expressed gratitude to the outgoing executive and said that the group owes “sustainable expansion and leading market positioning” to Sweitzer.
