Playtech, a listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange online gambling company, has successfully extended its exclusive partnership with Sony Pictures Television for the worldwide popular Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? brand until 2028.
What’s more, this strategic agreement will expand to more territories, including the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as the famous iGaming giant continues to display its dedication to drawing maximum benefit from the huge potential of the North American market.
One of the largest online gaming companies on a global scale, Playtech boasts an impressive portfolio of exclusive content agreements, including a sensational deal with Fremantle signed last October.
The two-year extension to the collaboration with Sony Pictures Television means that players in different parts of the world will be able to enjoy more exciting Live casino games based on the iconic TV show. The initial partnership with SPT to use the much-loved Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? brand was penned in February 2021 and covered the development of three bespoke titles.
The first game to go online was Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Live Roulette, which included many of the classic features from the legendary TV show such as 50/50, Ask the Audience and the new additional feature Ask the Host, where the host can remove incorrect answers based on the level of the question.
This highly entertaining title was also enhanced with a unique experience by allowing punters who do not have an active wager in the game to play along. They can still take part in the engaging Millionaire Round by guessing the outcome and playing for fun.
Building on the success of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Live Roulette, Playtech has added another two games to the series: Live Trivia and Video Poker Live. Now, fans of live casino entertainment including those from the U.S. where the company continues to create new partnerships, can expect more engaging releases to the suite.
