Playtech Appoints Anna Massion and John Krumins as Two New Non-Executive Directors

The gaming industry’s leading gaming solutions provider, Playtech, has announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors – Anna Massion and John Krumins.

The naming of this new duo took place mid-week after the pair was selected after a very thorough and careful search process. Their hiring was confirmed by SpringOwl Asset Management…

…which is Playtech’s activist investor which owns 5% of their issued share capital.

Anna Massion’s Bio

The first hire, Massion, is an investment banker and asset manager hailing from the United Kingdom. Her experience of over 15 years in various business fields culminated with her current employer being PAR Capital Management where she works as an analyst on managing an asset portfolio worth over $5 billion!

Her ties with the iGaming sector began in 2014…

…when she began investing in UK, US and European gaming and was already related to Playtech through providing strategic advice to their team.

This high-tier gaming brand is looking forward to her bringing “strong fiscal and analytical skillset to the board.”

John Krumins Bio

Krumins’ 20+ years of corporate finance, technology and project management experience made him the ideal fit for a new position in Playtech. He was a managing director of Morgan Stanley for almost 15 years…

…after which he took on similar roles at Deutsche Bank and Société Général. He is currently the chairman of IT and business service management at Wavex Technology.

His rich resume also includes non-executive director positions with several companies. He was an advisor in the business and technology data analytics sector…

…and his talents were most prominently featured in corporate services firms, Hogg Robinson and Intent HQ. His regulatory experience did not go unnoticed by his new employers as they scouted him since being a member of the UK Competition and Markets Authority.

Another Evolutionary Jump

Alan Jackman, Playtech’s chairman, welcomed the new hires and expressed high hopes regarding their contribution to the company.

“I am delighted to have identified two candidates of the calibre of Anna and John and warmly welcome them to the Playtech board. John’s extensive Board-level experience, coupled with Anna’s deep sector knowledge, will allow the board to Playtech’s role as the leading gambling technology company in regulated markets.”

Jackman added that, as industry continues to develop at pace, these appointments make another cornerstone in Playtech board’s evolution. He remarked that we will continue working closely with everyone involved to “get the new up to speed.”
