This hot-off-the-press announcement comes after the company struck a deal with A+E Networks what grants them the rights to use the critically acclaimed TV show’s name and branding.

Vikings airs on History US TV channel and is the brainchild of Academy Award winning executive producer, Michael Hirst, whose other historical series, The Tudors, was nominated for a Golden Globe. Vikings follows the lives and adventures of Middle Age’s Nordic clan of raiders as they set across epic journeys across seas, oceans and the European continent. The series is produced in association with Corus Entertainment and is an Irish/Canadian co-production, distributed worldwide by MGM Television.The slot will be released sometime towards the end of this year.
