The deal will also include logo sharing on both websites, NBA’s official app and presence on social media platforms in Latin America.

Vice president and managing director of NBA LatAm, Arnon de Mello, comments:

“Supermatch is the exclusive authorized gaming operator in Uruguay, and our new partnership will offer more ways for our ionate fans to connect and experience the excitement of our game.”

NBA Data Available to Supermatch

The operator from Latin America will also gain the privilege to use the official NBA data including branding across all land-based and online sportsbooks. According to the president of Uruguayan national lottery La Banca, the latest partnership will not only let its customers take full advantage of exclusive gaming offers, but also get closer to the action.

Clients will even have a chance to win various NBA rewards, memorabilia and gather unique experiences. As a reminder, the league has recently announced first betting data partnerships in the U.S. with Sportradar (provider of live odds for F1) and Genius. Adam Silver, NBA commissioner said on the occasion:

“Sportradar and Genius Sports are proven leaders in data distribution and will deliver unparalleled, real-time official NBA betting data. As the sports betting landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, these new partnerships will provide robust and reliable data to ensure the best possible gaming experience for our fans in the U.S.”

NBA’s arrangement with the gambling instructor from Montevideo also follows recent contracts with ByteDance, whose distribution of customized mobile-friendly content will be powered by AI.

In the meantime, the league has also reached an agreement with Migu, a China Mobile subsidiary known for unique digital content products and services. The company will broadcast live games in Hong Kong and Macau, including preseason, regular-season and playoff matches.

From Local To Global

One of the leading hospitality and entertainment companies in the United States, MGM Resorts International, also signed an agreement with the NBA in August 2018. The operator has already been given access to data as well as the right to use all brands on its casino products.

In November, MGM announced another major deal with NHL while a month later, the company partnered with Major League Baseball. The Association has also opened up for other alliances, as Caesars inked a deal with Philadelphia 76ers one month ago.
