Mississippi’s casino industry reported total revenue of $185.4 million for January 2025, reflecting a 2.8% increase from the same month in 2024. However, this figure represents a 7.7% decline compared to December’s earnings.
The Mississippi Gaming Commission categorizes casino revenue into three regions: Central, Coastal, and Northern. The Central region remained the largest contributor, bringing in $121.4 million in January, which ed for over 65% of the total revenue. This figure showed a modest increase of less than 0.5% compared to the previous year.
The Northern region experienced significant growth, with revenue climbing to $38.8 million, up 6.9% from the $36.3 million recorded in January 2024. The Central region also saw an increase, with revenue rising from $23 million in January 2024 to $25 million in January 2025, marking an 8.8% gain.
Slot machines remained the dominant revenue source for Mississippi casinos, generating $152.1 million across all three regions. Table games contributed an additional $24 million to the overall total.
