Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, has been doing well on Mississippi’s sports betting scene and as a result of a business done good, it is set to open a brand-new sports entertainment venue next week.
Lauded as “the next evolution of sports betting” in this state, the $7 million investment called Moneyline Book, Bar and Grill will be complementing the Topgolf Swing Suite in this venue that is located near Arkansas state border.
Moneyline will come equipped with 60 high definition screens, a giant video wall, a sportsbook, VIP lounge, a variety of entertainment options…
…a 50-foot bar with 16 video poker machines and a 6,000 square foot race and sportsbook. As they enter, punters will face two 16-foot by 9-foot video displays operating as 16 separate screens.
Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica made history last year when, along with Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi – also a property of MGM – became the first casinos in Mississippi to accept legal sports wagers.
Gold Strike president and Chief Operating Officer, David Tsai, comments on this new addition:
“Last August, Gold Strike and MGM Resorts were the first to launch legalised sports betting in Mississippi, ushering in a new era of sports entertainment. Nearly a year later, we up the ante on the sports betting and sports entertainment experience in the Mid-South, with the opening of Moneyline Book, Bar & Grill and our own Topgolf Swing Suite.”
He added that this state-of-the-art venue was created so that it brings sports, gaming, entertainment, dining and nightlife together. This, combined with MGM’s service culture and M life Rewards loyalty program will “make Gold Strike the region’s premier sports entertainment destination.”
During May’s 12th annual Sports Business Awards ceremony in New York, MGM Resorts International was named Breakthrough of the Year by the Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily.
The prestigious award was handed to them on the grounds of their contribution to the development of sports betting across the US. Beside opening sportsbooks in numerous venues, the company has signed historic cooperation agreements with professional leagues such as NBA, MLS and MLB.
Mississippi sports betting significantly increased in June…
…after the regulator of the sports betting market posted results that reveal a 35.4% hike month-on-month – an even more significant result, considering that state saw a 12.7% decline in handle!
The sports betting revenue amounted to $1.6m in June – some 400,000 better than in May.
The main source of income were coastal casinos, with central in-land casinos performing somewhat poorly. Baseball and basketball were the most popular sports for punters to wager on in June.

Would love to be able to go there and check it out.
Does Moneyline offer room service, and if so, can the menu be seen online?
