International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has solidified its partnership with the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) by securing a 10-year contract extension. Announced Thursday, this new agreement will begin in July 2027 and extend through June 2037. IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of IGT, will be responsible for fulfilling the of this significant contract, which enhances a relationship dating back to the Lottery’s launch in 2006.

Under the of the agreement, IGT will implement its high-performing Aurora™ central system, an integral part of its OMNIA™ lottery solution. This state-of-the-art system is designed to drive innovation and efficiency in lottery operations. The contract also includes the deployment of several upgraded systems and equipment aimed at modernizing lottery infrastructure in North Carolina. These enhancements include up to 8,500 newly launched Retailer Pro S2 terminals, 500 GameTouch™ 28 self-service vending machines, 2,000 lottery play centers, and 4,000 Jackpot signs.
Additionally, IGT will provide the NCEL with a dual cellular communication network and expanded testing capabilities, ensuring robust and reliable lottery operations. The company will also introduce upgraded Wizard back-office applications, such as Performance Wizard, Sales Wizard, Learning Wizard, and Retailer Wizard, all aimed at streamlining NCEL’s day-to-day functions.

The introduction of Retailer Pro S2 terminals across multiple point-of-sale locations will enable the NCEL to efficiently roll out new features and expand lottery services.

In recent months, the company has signed several notable agreements with various state lotteries across the extended its deal with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation for an additional three years in May and signed a seven-year contract with the Colorado Lottery, covering both online and retail operations.
