Biggest Casinos in Atlantic City teamed up to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s safe to say that Hard Rock International enjoyed a flying start to their Atlantic City campaign ever since opening in late June this year…
…but they’ve also initiated a Renaissance of sorts for this legendary gambling hub of a city, prompting New Jersey as a whole to become U.S.’ number one gambling state, even suring Nevada in certain areas. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has, of course, not fallen short of expectations and is raking in staggering revenue.
Even so, they’re not immune to making mistakes and New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) is not immune to noticing them and reacting accordingly.
Hard Rock International was fined $5,000 by NJ’s regulatory body. The reason is that they haven’t disclosed their new executive hire in a transparent and timely manner as is expected of them according to official procedures.
Namely, the casino resort has failed to notify the regulatory body about the appointment of Mann Lien, their Vice President of Asian marketing. This is required by the Casino Control Act.
There were no formal statements by Hard Rock International regarding this matter.
NJDGE Director, David Rebuck, has stated in a letter that “Hard Rock has agreed to pay in recognition of the seriousness of its failures related to non-compliance as to the mandates”.
As Lien’s hiring was not disclosed to the division until October 22nd, the regulator only learned about it after inquiring with the casino itself. Lien already has a casino key employee license and began his duties on July 9th.
In a letter to Hard Rock’s legal counsel from October 29th, Rebuck said that “of import in this instance, the position of vice president of Asian marketing and Mr. Lien’s appointment to that position arose from and was related to the initial casino licensure.”
Mr. Lien is not the only new executive to the Hard Rock AC ranks – in October, the appointment of two new was announced (Joe Lupo and Jeffrey Hook) with them taking over President and Senior Vice President of Marketing roles, respectively.
The past month was quite eventful for the casino conglomerate as they’ve struck another landmark deal that will see them launch their mobile-ready sportsbook in conjunction with Gaming Innovation Group. The release of the proposed sportsbook is not expected before the end of the year.
Prior to that, WhyHunger charity organization has teamed up with Hard Rock to start selling Bruce Springsteen branded merchandise for the sole cause of funding regions of the planet that suffer from famine.

Seems a silly, unintentional mistake, but the penalty is also ridiculously insignificant seeing as how much revenue this place makes in a day.
