GVC Holdings Completes Merger with Ladbrokes Coral After Acquiring in 2018

GVC Holdings, one of the leading sports betting and gaming companies in the world, has announced that it has successfully completed the migration of Ladbrokes Coral brands. The brands have been migrated to the GVC’s proprietary technology platform.

GVC acquired the company back in 2018, and now complete migration has been achieved, with brands such as Coral, Gala Bingo, Gala Casino and Gala Spins now, as well as Ladbrokes and Coral now available on the GVC platform.

The migration is the largest and most complex integration process in the gambling industry to date. 25 million Ladbrokes customer s have been moved across to the platform and the integration began on time and on budget and was completed without disruptions. The last 12.5 million customer s have been integrated at a time when all the staff involved in the process have been working remotely.

Benefitting from Full Integration

Customers from Ladbrokes will now have a chance to benefit from the full integration with GVC, with the full capabilities of its proprietary technology platform available to the players. Aside from delivering greater efficiencies, stability, speed to market, product development and customer propositions, the platform is a key factor in GVC’s more than solid financial performance during the recent months.

The GVC platform also allows the group to adapt to changes in regulations ahead of its competition, thus becoming a leader in delivering an extensive range of tools and initiatives that and promote a safer gambling environment for its customers.

Representatives from GVC, which recently promoted Grainne Hurst, say that they are delighted about the completion of the integration and about its success, which speaks to the capabilities of their technology and the quality of their teams.

“I am delighted that this critical and hugely complex stage of the Ladbrokes Coral integration process has been completed so successfully. It is a great testament to the sophistication of our technology and the quality of our teams, and it is particularly impressive that they have managed to finalise it during this period of remote working. It also positions the business even better to emerge from the current crisis from a position of strength.”

“The GVC integration model has proved itself time and again to be extremely effective at integrating large-scale operations with minimal disruption to our underlying business. As a result, we are confident in our ability to take advantage of the attractive M&A opportunities which we believe will present themselves to us in the future while further boosting the growth of our existing business,” said Shay Segev, COO at GVC.
