Global Gaming Selects Petter Fagrell for New CEO of Malta-based Subsidiary
November 14, 2019 Jovan Paunovic
Online gambling operator, Global Gaming (GG), has once more been denied their privilege to open their Swedish online casino after their license was revoked this summer.
Back in June 2019, the Swedish regulatory body Spelinspektionen, revoked the Global Gaming 555 AB’s subsidiary SafeEnt Ltd license, which operated the Swedish Ninja Casino site.
The revocation of the license was prompted by Spelinspektionen’s opinion that the site insufficiently battles vigorous anti-money laundering and social responsibility practices.
GG announced on Tuesday that Sweden’s Supreme istrative Court had rejected its appeal of SafeEnt’s license revocation without offering any viable details on the reason why the license was revoked.
Tobias Fagerlund, CEO of Global said that the company was disappointed and is now examining the decision in detail and that he assumes that they will appeal that decision to the istrative Court of Appeal.
GG has been met with difficulties while adapting to the Swedish newly regulated online gambling market. Losing their primary Swedish-facing brand compelled the brand to cut its payroll in half, transfer the NinjaCasino domain to Viral Interactive Ltd. They also launched a new Swedish-facing online casino brand, NanoCasino via Viral’s subsidiary, Finnplay.
Ninja is now the subject of another Swedish court action, dealing with the company’s promotional efforts. The Swedish Consumer Ombudsman has accused Ninja Casino of failing to abide by the requirements of the country for gambling licensees and exercise moderation in their advertising activity.
GG, who recently partnered with Playson, is a veteran in the iGaming industry. The company is able to deliver innovative and safe gaming experiences and operate a number of successful casino brands and their focus is primarily in the Nordics. It is able to offer their unique PayNPlay solution which offers players a safe and seamless gaming experience.
Ninja Casino is their leading, award-winning brand. Utilizing the PayNPlay solution, this casino has revolutionized the online casino industry by allowing players to enjoy a safe online casino environment, without having to go through lengthy registration processes.
The company strives to achieve the highest level of innovation and takes pride in pushing the boundaries of the industry. They have earned the Operator of the Year 2019 award at EGR Nordics Awards and the Gaming Intelligence Awards.
