Genting UK has announced that they will introduce a new tier to GentingBet Poker Series of 2020. Super 80, a third-tier competition will be added in hopes that it will make the tournament more accessible to players.
2020 will be the ninth year for the Poker Series, and it will feature 16 events across the country, with four main and 13 mini competitions which will be open to players of all abilities and with no qualifications required.
The main event of the Series will be played at Luton, Edinburgh Fountain Park, Liverpool Queen Square and Resorts Casino Birmingham, with a guaranteed prize pool of £100,000 at each.
The smaller events will be played at locations including Newcastle, Westcliff, Sheffield, Blackpool, Queen Square Liverpool, Reading, Luton and Torquay. The mini events will see players competing for a guaranteed prize pool of £35,000, together with Genting Poker Series main event seats.
The Super 80 tier will have four “day ones” that will stretch from Wednesday to Saturday and it will finish on Sunday. The buy-in for the competition is £80 with a guaranteed prize pool of £15,000. The Super 80 events operate with a 25,000 starting stack and run on a thirty-minute GentingBet Poker Series structure.
