As part of this contract, the second largest DFS service in the United States, behind DraftKings, will gain access to marketing assets at Heinz Field, including LED and scoreboard video reporting, as well as radio, television and integrated digital marketing.
The Steelers compete in the National Football League since 1933 as part of the, Eastern, Western and current North division. Founded 86 years ago, the team represents one of the oldest franchises in the AFC.
Thanks to Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin, the team from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with headquarters in UPMC Sports Performance Complex have won eight championships.
In the framework of the agreement, FanDuel will offer exclusive, one-of-a-kind experiences for the fans, such as the fantasy camp event at Heinz Field. Ryan Huzjak, Steelers vice president of sales and marketing, commented:
“We’re excited to bring FanDuel into the fold as our Official Daily Fantasy Partner. We think Steelers fans will enjoy the FanDuel platform and the opportunity to compete for unique Steelers prizes.”
According to Matt King, CEO at the sports betting company, Pittsburgh is an incredible place to engage in favorite teams and leagues. The sportsbook ires Steelers and its historic success throughout the years, including eight championship titles in 1975, 1976, 1980, 2006 and 2009.
“Our Pennsylvania customers love their teams and their players, and by partnering with the Steelers, we’ll further deliver on our promise to further engage fans and meaningfully grow our brand,” added King.
During the course of October, FanDuel entered into an exclusive partnership with Indianapolis Colts, another American football team based in Indiana. Through this arrangement, the operator will engage new and existing fans using digital stadium signage, in-game promotions and other marketing assets.
“The Colts always are looking for new ways to engage with our fans, and fantasy sports have long been an avenue for fans to follow the Colts, pro football and their favorite players across the league,” commented Roger VanDerSnick, Colts chief sales & marketing officer on October 10, 2019.
At the end of the month, the FanDuel Group (part of Flutter Entertainment) launched its sportsbook app within Indiana’s borders, bringing online betting experience to its residents and visitors.
The Hoosier State became the fourth territory in the United States that gained access to FanDuel’s mobile platform. Sports fans are now allowed to place wagers on baseball, football, basketball, golf, soccer, and tennis.
“We’re seeing incredible momentum at our Indiana retail sportsbooks and bringing our online sports betting platform to the state of Indiana is a natural next step,” explained Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group.
Some of the key features of the platform are industry-leading promotions, various payment options, cashouts on straight single bets and live betting.
