Evolution Gaming vs. Light & Wonder - Legal Dispute Over Roulette Innovations

London’s Global Gaming Awards (GGA) yielded numerous winners in various categories at this year’s event…
…however, one of the most prominent acclaims, the Online Supplier of the Year Award, went to provider of live casino games – Evolution Gaming!
This highly sought-after brand came on top of a tough competition of nine other international challengers who were shortlisted for this accolade that recognizes the “most innovative casino suppliers of gaming industry over the last 12 months.”
The final GGA 2019 ceremony was held at London’s Hippodrome Casino and coincided with the massively-attended ICE conference.
Evolution’s CEO, Martin Carlesund, commented on the pivotal moment for his company:
“We are thrilled to have won this award. The past twelve months have seen some landmark product launches from Evolution, with the runaway success of Lightning Roulette, the launch of our First Person range of games, plus three new studios opening worldwide.”
He underlined the excitement of winning this award as it coincided with ICE…
…where Evolution came with dozens of new additions to its portfolio of games and technological solutions. He said that company looks to enrich its offering and provide operators and players with the next generation of Live Casino games.
By this, Carlesund first and foremost meant the world premiere of TV show-inspired title, Deal or No Deal – world’s first 24/7 live game show release.
Opportunity was ripe for the world debut of numerous other titles – ten in total – including Lightning Dice, Free Bet Blackjack, Side Bet City, Infinite Blackjack and more.
The supplier’s Chief Product Officer, Todd Haushalter, stressed that Evolution wanted to stay true to the original concept of Deal or No Deal, remarking that “with that in mind, we embarked upon what has been the most complex studio that Evolution has ever built to date.”
This particular offering is a consequence of the company’s desire to reach new standards of entertainment, “so high that people would watch the game just as they would watch the TV show.”
Elsewhere, towards the end of January…
…Evolution Gaming forged a strategic alliance spanning several years with New Jersey facilities they will be delivering their brand of live dealer games.
The carefully selected suite of games will be created uniquely for DraftKings by Evolution’s brand-new Atlantic City studio. The daily fantasy sports contest provider commenced its New Jersey sportsbook operations last August and has had much success since.
