Pragmatic Play Launches Content with Codere in Colombia and Spain

Spanish online gaming operator, Codere, has announced a series of operational changes in its company that should “simplify management process and give ability to regional divisions.”
The new structure should provide more strength and vitality to operational capacities and overall functioning. According to the official press release, the Madrid-based firm seeks to make its management processes more efficient.
There will be some business segments that will gain more prominence compared to others. For instance, the operational and regional leadership will be split into two sections, as approved by the board…
…with officials due to report to CEO, Vicente Di Loreto, from now on.
Along with the change in structure, some specific changes in personnel have been made too…
…with existing and employees simply changing positions. Chief operations officer for retail, Carlos Villaseca, will retain his position, while Serafin Gomez will be overlooking security and compliance functions. Moshe Edree will be chief operations officer for the digital sector.
Codere has instated three new roles relating to regional focus of the group:
Regional manager for Europe will be Alejandro Pascual, while in Mexico, this role will be filled by Rodrigo Gonzalez. In Latin America, Bernardo Chena, will take on the same responsibility.
Reporting to Chena will be existing country managers for Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Panama.
Says Di Loreto of introduced changes:
“I have the greatest confidence in our management team and in our organisation; the extensive experience and talent of those who make up Codere are undoubtedly great assets with which to face the opportunities and challenges that the market presents.”
This multinational company from Spain suffered a 9.9% drop in revenue last year…
…so it can be said that the aforementioned changes have been somewhat forced. The decline in revenue was mostly caused by Argentine Peso’s drop in value.
With this in mind, the company revealed in January that it will relocate all of its online gambling operations to the autonomous city of autonomous city of Melilla, where tax rates are significantly lower than in rest of the country.
