Betsson Acquires 50% of JDP Tech Shares

Betsson, the leading iGaming technology company, has signed a partnership with JDP Tech, a software development company. The partnership sees Betsson’s subsidiary, Betsson Perch Investments AB acquire 50 per cent of the shares of JDP Tech.

Additionally, Betsson is securing customer payment flows for its developing expansion in Latin America. The consideration payable for the purchased shares is €8.8m.

A Well-Positioned Move

Representatives from the brand, which recently struck a deal with Spearhead Studios, say that the Latin American market is very important for the company and that the company will be well positioned thanks to the partnership.

“LatAm is a strategically important region for Betsson and we see great future potential for the company there. With this strategic investment Betsson is well positioned to further expand our business in the LatAm iGaming market,” said Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson AB.

Also, Betsson announced a partnership with Mexico’s Big Bola Casinos earlier this month. The partnership with Big Bola allows Betsson to launch its operations in Mexico by the end of this year that will offer casino, live casino and a localized sportsbook. The sportsbook will offer a wide range of sports.

Betsson has been expanding its influence in the Latin American market, mainly in Peru, Brazil through the acquisition of Suaposta and Colombia through the acquisition of Colbet.

The company is also in the process of receiving a license for the province and City of Buenos Aires, which will further strengthen its position in the region.
