The expansion of MGM Resorts and GVC Holding’s t venture Roar Digital continues throughout 2020 across the United States as the company secures approval to set off BetMGM sports betting app in Indiana.
After receiving a temporary vendor license from the Indiana Gaming Commission on January 13th, Roar Digital decided to initiate mobile sports betting operations at Belterra Casino Resort, currently under ownership of Gaming and Leisure Properties.
On Monday, January 24th Roar Digital finally acquired full approval from the state regulator, allowing it to demonstrate its potential within the sports wagering market, which successfully met the requirements of Indiana Code Article 4-38.
BetMGM will become the sixth operator to go online in Indiana, as DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers, William Hill and BetAmerica already provide services at popular land-based casinos.
The company’s app for online gaming and betting was first introduced in 2017 under a different name – PlayMGM. Roar Digital has rebranded its top-class product in September 2019 as BetMGM and continued the expansion into the new territories throughout 2020. This t venture enables customers to play traditional MGM Resorts sports betting products on its core mobile platform, including NBA, NHL, college basketball, MLS, MLB, XFL, UFC, tennis and other sports.
Last month, MGM Resorts and GVC launched their sports betting app in partnership with The Greenbrier in West Virginia. This arrangement allows residents to access in-app live-streamed sporting events from across the world, providing them with interactive gaming experience and ission to promotions available only in the Mountain State.
Scott Butera, president of interactive gaming at MGM Resorts and Adam Greenblatt, chief executive of Roar Digital commented the rollout in West Virginia by saying:
“We are pleased to be operating in West Virginia and partnering with The Greenbrier, a historic grand hotel and one of the most storied landmarks in the United States.”

Greeblatt is well aware of the fact that ion for sports in West Virginia is huge, which will allow BetMGM to provide the very best features and promotions to “die-hard sports fans and novices alike.”
Apart from becoming the first entered the market of New Jersey back in September 2019 as well. This venture allowed the company to launch its rebranded mobile platform inside the territory and increase its reach of pre-match and in-play bets on professional and college sport events.
Addedly, the company announced another historic agreement with Yahoo Sports back in October 2019, enabling global industry leaders to collaborate on content development, exclusive live matches and other major marketing strategies.

The sports betting market in the US is becoming more and more interesting as leading brands battle each day to cover new territories and win bigger audiences. As soon as one state es the legislation, major players start rolling in. I personally like that BetMGM has entered Indiana’s sports betting market, it will most definitely improve the territory’s offer and attract other potential investors in this industry.
