IGT Powers In-Person Betting at Valley Forge Casino

Multinational gaming company from London that produces slot machines and gaming software, International Gaming Technology (IGT), has set up their official PlayDigital PlayShot technology…

…in order to power in-person sports betting services in Pennsylvania.

IGT will manage sports wagering services in Fan Duel’s new sportsbook at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in PA.

Currently, gamblers at the casino in King of Prussia have the opportunity to place over-the-counter bets by using IGT’s PlayShot technology. They can place their wagers on all major sports and US collegiate events.

IGT Expanding through the USA

So, after doing this launch, IGT will be officially operational in six states across the US: Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi, West Virginia, Rhode Island and, of course, Pennsylvania.

“Together with FanDuel, IGT PlayDigital created a scalable sports betting ecosystem with PlayShot for Valley Forge Casino Resort that delivers an exceptional wagering experience,” IGT’s senior vice-president for PlayDigital, Enrico Drago, said.

“Adding Pennsylvania to the growing roster of states where PlayShot is deployed reinforces the flexibility and market-readiness of the technology, and propels PlayShot’s position as the leading B2B sports betting platform in the US,” Drago added.

The New Sportsbook

Just last week, a new 1800sq ft sportsbook was officially opened at the casino owned by Boyd Gaming. Their customers now got access to the seven teller windows, 29 video displays, two sports tickera, as well as a seating area.

This launch is actually an extension of a partnership made between FanDuel and Boyd. The two companies have already launched a sportsbook before, at Boyd’s IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi.

New IGT Ventures

Just at the beginning of this month, IGT also partnered up with Paddy Power Betfair-owned, FanDuel…

…to install their PlayShot technology in the state of New Jersey.

FanDuel implemented 14 new PlayDigital PlayShot QuickBet kiosks at the new facility positioned at the New Meadowlands Racetrack. So, from now on, visitors will have the opportunity to place their bets through self-betting kiosks.

g a Deal with Slovakia Lottery

IGT has recently announced that the company made a deal with Slovakian lottery TIPOS, owned by the state government. It was announced that this is a 10-year expanded technology and services agreement…

…that can be additionally extended by up to five years.

As it was mentioned in the deal, IGT will provide the Slovakian lottery with a range of new lottery solutions and services. It includes a new central system, new retailer’s terminals, as well as with associated software and peripherals.
