DraftKings Launches Mobile Sports Betting in New Jersey

It didn’t take too long for FanDuel in 2016.

Recently, the operator has made a historical achievement by becoming the country’s first provider of mobile sports betting outside partnership with Kambi.

The service will be powered by the supplier’s proprietary app which is to go live in New Jersey. Apart from specializing in fantasy sports, DraftKings will now look to diversify and broaden the sports betting market following The Garden State’s recent legalization.

Sports betting fans in New Jersey are invited to on the operator’s website if they want to receive and use the Kambi-powered app. In addition, all mobile operators within the state are required to partner with local land-based venues to go live. The Boston-based provider has signed a contract with Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino Hotel, whose services will be upgraded with Kambi’s technology and sportsbook adjustments as well.

CEO of the sports betting company from Sweden, Kristian Nylen, is extremely satisfied with the deal, as it marks a new chapter in the industry, posterior to the repeal of PASPA earlier in May 2018.

Becoming the first operator for online sports wagering in New Jersey will strengthen the position of the group on a global level and it will secure a better option among platforms seeking quality sportsbooks with advanced software solutions, added Nylen.
