888Poker Renews Sponsorship of World Series of Poker

The poker division of 888 Holdings is returning for the sixth time as sponsor of this year’s WSOP and therefore remains the only worldwide online operator to offer exclusive qualifiers.

The 2020 World Series of Poker is taking place from May 26th to July 15th with inflated prizes up to $15,000. To experience real Vegas action, participants will earn a chance to play at the Main Event and Crazy Eights, as both encounters contribute to the all-inclusive deal. A 12-night stay at luxury five-star Vdara hotel is also included.

Back in 2019, there have been a record 187,298 entries in the WSOP, while a total of $293,184,345 was given in prizes over the past 12 months. This year, 888poker has increased the size of incentives to a MEGA package, allowing a bigger audience of players to win a seat to the main event and start their journey to satellites.

Buy-in Starts at 1₵

Poker players are on the hunt for the WSOP 2020 Mega Package already and they can satellite their way either by cashing in 1 cent and winning one of the promotions or by ing directly into the $1,050 buy-in Qualifier. As previously mentioned, for winning a $15,000 prize to the poker competition, winners will receive 12 nights at the luxury five-star Vdara hotel, a $10,000 buy-in to the main event, a symbolical $888 buy-in to the Crazy 888s side event, $1,000 for travel expenses, a welcome session at the resort and transportation from the airport. The package also includes 888poker LIVE kit.

While the main package gives players a chance to participate in the main event, there is also an opportunity to get in on some Crazy Eights action. Players participating in this part of the competition might end up on the same table with Vivian Saliba, current 888poker ambassador and 4th place finisher in 2019. She walked away with $308,888 for her last year’s efforts.

Poker Dreams Come True

The poker division of 888 managed to send more than 100 online qualifiers to last year’s WSOP and 17 managed to cash out a total of $1,008,490 at the main event. Among the last standing players was Dean Morrone, who finished in 159th place as Day 4 chip leader, winning a whopping sum of $59,295. Sam Greenwood, a player from Canada scooped $211,945 and finished in 45th place at the main event. Last but not least, Romania’s Mihai Manole, who claimed a package to the 2020 WSOP Main Event, finished in 18th place at the 50th Annual poker tournament, taking home $400,000 in real cash.

Storming All Fronts

In the meantime, the group’s largest online platform for gaming and entertainment, a collaboration with Playson, a software provider powered by the Pariplay platform.

In addition, 888casino started a collaboration with Scientific Games and SkyWind Group in January 2020, allowing both companies to launch more than 120 games in Spain and 280 slots globally, created by the developer, respectively.
